Default Oncidium spike?

What does a new oncidium spike look like? I have a mini intergeneric that has a new growth, but newbie here can't tell if it's a new bunch of leaves rolled up together or a spike.

Also, why do my uploaded photos show up sideways? On my computer screen they're upright? How does one fix this issue?

On pictures sideways. Does it on my phone if I dont hold it the right direction. I am not sure but are you talking about the long green piece growing?

I think it could possibly be a spike. But I will not guarantee it.

It's so strange though, I took the photo on my phone with my phone in a vertical position. The photo shows up on my computer in a vertical position. But when posted, the photo turns horizontal. Strange!

Yes, I mean the long green piece growing in front of the pseudobulb which looks like a tightly rolled bunch of leaves.

It looks like a spike to me.

If you're using an iPhone don't take the picture with the phone in the vertical position. Turn the phone horizontal with the lens in the top left corner. That's solved all of my sideways pictures.

Same with a android phone. Other wise they come out upside down and side ways.

Yes, that is a spike. congratulations. Please post a picture when it blooms. Usually at this stage, it can grow up to two feet or maybe a month from now?
