Thanks for the cute little cheerleaders Rosie and Atzau. They look how I feel. Fun!

Looks fine to me. Almost ready to put on a show. Ps. Don't fuss too much with the plant and move it around until the flower is set.

Ok, Andre. What does "set" mean? I did have the bloom turned toward the window (and light), but I turned it toward the living room so I could admire it's pretty little bloom face. Should I not have? Should I wait?

It's alright to move it to the living room.

Flowers can still move around toward the light source when they are just freshly open.

However, this is the case when there is a strong light coming in from one direction.

Your flower is pretty typical of Lynleigh Koopowitz.
One of mine opened a few days ago. It is one of the most horrible things I've seen with severely disfigured look. oh, well.

The other one is still slowly developing, but at least I can see the bud looks normal.

Oh, sorry to hear about your bloom. What makes them deformed?

I believe it is due to the genetics. When mixing different things, the results can be positive or negative. It is not uncommon in hybrids.

I just got a new Paph that twisted sideways overnight. My President Fred did that too, and it kind of freaked me out. It is an experience the first time you see it! You think AHHHH no what did I do!? It's helpful to know - thank you everyone - that it's best to let them be at first because I know I felt a bit conflicted when Pres. Fred was opening because it kept wanting to face the light but like others have said, I want to see it!
