Should I water my phal which has a growing keiki with Superthrive??
Red face Should I water my phal which has a growing keiki with Superthrive??

Hi guys,
I just starting liking phal 3 months ago and now i have about 10 plants. I also started experimenting keiki paste on phal spikes.
I have a question for you guys. Should i water my phal which has a small growing keiki with Superthrive? (not sure those are real keiki or it might be just flower spikes)

I have seen some of the forum discuss about Superthrive discourage bloom and such. But they didn't specifically saying about keiki so I am a little bit of reluctant to water with Superthrive.

Thank you.
Have a nice day everyone.

I don't think small amounts of superthrive would harm anything, but keiki paste is a hormone product itself, so I don't know if superthrive would have any benefit

Superthrive is given to almost dying plants to help it revive. I don't think you should give it to a healthy plant. It will manage to produce weirdness in flowers and leaves in the future.
Keiki paste is applied to plants to induce it to produce keikis so you don't have to apply it to a spike that is already producing keikis. Its overkill.
Wait until the plant develops by itself and patiently wait until it flowers for you. Believe me, if those chemicals really helped speed up the blooms and growth....I will be the first one to use them.

I had a phal whose roots were almost all gone. I repotted it into a bark mixture, watered it, and put it on the same schedule as my other phals. It seems happy and growing. My advice would be to leave it alone.
