I'm sure someone mentioned the American Orchid Society and gardens in Delray Beach. I went last year and I was wowed. Of course I'm still a newbie and get impressed easily but I couldn't believe they even had orchids in the trees in the parking lot!!! My first show was the A.O.S. show in Miami and that was where my addiction started. How did you start in Mn? When I lived up north, it was the last thing I would be involved in.
Thanks for your help! Unfortunately, I didn't have time for Odoms...but I did get out to Indian River Orchids...they have a great lab and actually have a lot of flasks there for Odoms.
Didn't get down to Homestead...I was hoping to check out RF! Oh well! Time to schedule another trip to the beautiful state of Florida!!!! Needless to say...my 'chid wish list has gotten oddles longer!
I'll have to post some pics later...
Don't feel bad about not going to the AOS yet. But now that we all know you haven't been there you have to go. They have had a few orchid sales with terriffic bargains and quite a selection. You missed out on a show in November with great vendors and beautiful chids for sale.
Yeah, be sure to post those pix. We got a cold front here last night and I had to put my ladies inside. The temperarure got down to about 35. I know.......I know.....to you snow bunnies it's shirt sleeve weather but to us warm blooded folks it's a bit cold. My boss is recently from Minn. and he walks around in a shirt. I hope you had a great time in Florida.

You may see a lot of mush! It was in the 20's throughout Tampa Bay, below freezing at my house since 3am. All my big orchids are inside, safe and sound. The smaller ones are covered under benches on the warm ground. The yard - well, let's save that for another day! It is looking sad already :-((. Greg in New Port Richey 29F at 7am coldest since 1996
