Hi everyone!

I have a Keiki which grew on an orchid which almost died through getting sunburned. That was 2 years ago. Anyhoo I moved the mother, wrapped some moss around the base of the Keiki and was eventually able to remove it and I've potted it into a small clay pot.
It's made several new leaves and loads of roots, some of which are wandering outside the pot.

How long will it take for it to flower? The mother also hasn't reflowering but I think it hasn't been getting enough light maybe? And I've only just repotted it properly. The first attempt I basically left all the old moss and just stuck some new stuff around the sides. Didn't know I was supposed to remove everything and trim dead roots etc.

Ps, it's late autumn here now, will be winter proper I. A few weeks.

Thanks!

It could bloom this year, or it might bloom in about 1 more year. Depends on the plant.

What kind of orchid is it? The growing conditions will be whatever the parent plant requires.
