Unhappy I guess it had to happen to me ...

at some point. But I sure feel bad

I just noticed that one of the Phals is missing the tip of the spike! I don't know how it happened!!!

DARN!!! So what happens now? Is it the end? Till another spike grows out who knows when? Or will it immediately spike again?

Darn! Darn! Darn! This spike just had little nubs on it,just beginning to form the buds I guess...

Just leave the spike as is and it will quite likely send another spike from one of the nodes. You may still get blooms. It has happened to many of us.

Oh I hate when that happens! Agree with what was said already, leave it for now..spike still green, it can still try to rebloom on the lower node of the spike.

I've had this happen plenty of times.

I have often broken spikes and, yes, when they are phal spikes, they are usually kind enough to try again. I hope you will soon be showing us pictures of the blooms from a new attempt!
