Question about light

Hi everyone Long time no talk. Things have been hectic!

Anywho, my husband and I are moving into a new house in the next couple of weeks, and I was wondering what to do about light for the orchids. Our house faces northeast, and has a big honkin' bradford pear outside that is very bushy and blocks a decent bit of the windows to the house. On the back of our house is another house (so my front door faces northeast while their front door faces southwest and we share the respective back wall of our houses), and we share one wall on each side with another home (it's a townhouse), so I only have windows on the front of the house.

There is somewhat bright light in a couple of the windows, but mostly it's fairly shady all day, even in the late mornings. We have a bay window which gets some decent brightness in the afternoons, and I am not sure about the early morning because we haven't been there early in the morning to see yet. I was thinking of setting the orchids up in that window. I was wondering if I should get more supplemental lighting (I have 2 of Ray's LEDs at the moment) for the brighter light guys such as my oncidium, brassavola and cattleyas, and just keep them under lights all year round like this? What about the phalaenopsis types? Would they be okay with the window as is? I imagine that during the fall/winter when the tree out front is not in bloom there would be more light (albeit for less time during the day).

It probably depends on the orchids. Some phals seem to take more shade and some less. I have mostly species phals and they get a south-facing window. I had my hybrid phals in more shade and they weren't terribly happy so I will probably see that they get more light next winter (everyone goes outside for the summer).
