leaf spotting.

Got this orchid recently at the orchid show... now it has faithfully developed spotting. Any ideas? is it garbage?

I don't see much spotting but it looks like water spots as if the leaves were getting wet. That can cause spotting. However I make sure not to get leaves wet and my Oncids often get spotted anyways. Some Catts too. I don't know what an Oda is.

Odontioda: Cochlioda crossed with Odontoglossum, abbreviated Oda.
You have a hybrid. But you need to get the name in the tag correctly=chances are it is a long name with the cross of another hybrid.
The tip of the leaf of your plant can be trimmed so the discolor damage will not grow bigger. I think you have fertilizer crystals on the leaves. I will not worry about it. It got more pronounced as it got wet. Otherwise, you have a healthy plant.

The spotting doesn't show well in the pic, but besides the water spottting there are small dark green spots. Maybe I'm a worry wort lol.

I do see some tiny dark green spots now that you mention it. So it wasn't like that when you bought it? Could it be a change in light levels under your care? It looks healthy and Oncidium types do tend to get spots more than many other types of orchids. I definitely wouldn't trash it. Just keep an eye on it and try not to wet the leaves, especially when the sun is warm and could burn it or late in the day as it cools off.

It did not have the spotting when I bought it.

Try gently washing the leaves with dish soap and soft sponge to remove the spots....if after you cleaned the leaves the green spots are still there, then spray it with physan20. Fungi is usually dark spots with yellow outer rings....bacteria will start at the base of the leaves sometimes also on the tip. But your tip discoloration is moisture issue or the roots are covered with fertilizer crystals and all you need is just flush it with water for 10 min under the sink.
