Keep warm and very humid. Give adequate amounts of light.

There's nothing else you need to do.

The cutting may take a while to root. I'd give it about a month.

Thanks. I've seen people selling them on eBay for quite a bit so I decided I would try to start some new ones.

I have the same problem. But it produces new leaves at the bottom an bloomed again this winter. I had been potting it in spagh, but changed this time. I lined the pot with spagh and in the center i put a little good potting soil mixed with the spagh. Hope this helps me and you. Also am very sorry for your loss. But he did leave some wonderful plants for you to enjoy.
