Does anyone know of a study showing how long orchid viruses stay viable on dry objects?

I think the second paper is the formal version of the paper I found... Would be more comfortable if there was more than one reference. *grin*
I think virus viability on dry surfaces would depend on the type of virus. It is an interesting question.

Some have definitive humidity and temperature requirements, it conditions their survival.
Educated guess: plants virus need wetness as they spread thru sap/water.
