Change in root color

My Phals all have been doing great. Lots of new root growth, new leafs and spikes.
Being so new to Orchids I'm always wondering about them. Well, some root tips have changed a lighter green color. Is this a problem? I water every 10 days with fresh then fertilizer. They are in a bright indirect north facing window. Attached is a picture of root tips

You have a nice healthy growing root tip. Some Phals also have a reddish brown colored root tip but both colors are normal.

Thank you. I just wasn't sure if the roots were getting lighter because of an issue. Glad to hear they look normal

Light is the determining factor as to whether or not they get that reddish-brown pigmentation on the root tips.

The more light, the darker it is.

Otherwise, it is fine, as mentioned.

Yes that is ok. Color also depends on the variety of the plant. When roots have grown as much as they need to they all turn green. A root will only grow so far and then the plants energy is turned toward producing new roots and the older roots stop growing and turn to storing energy and moisture. I hope I can make the meeting on the 7th. It depends on my husband getting home to watch our 16 month old son. He's a handfull and I'm not sure if it would be ok to bring him.

Sorry this is not true. Some Phal roots are green regardless of how much light you give them and some will never turn green. That root type will be a gray-ish color and the root tip will be brown.
