These big Catt's are something else. It is a beautiful color, wish I could smell it.

It is really fragrant right now (noon). The color has deepened too. It's in my mom's house and she really likes it. I place blooming orchids around the neighbor's houses and they bring them back when finished blooming. I'm thinking of expanding the GH, growing phals , cyms, and catts and selling them when in bloom from the front yard here. The street out front is usually filled on the weekends with walkers and bikers. Lots of surfers around here. High rent area so I think I could do ok. Would allow me to get more orchids. Just thinking.

I love your idea! It's unique and sounds like it would be a great success and bring a lot of joy to people. No doubt you'd be the neighborhood Orchidman!! Take pictures and let us know how that goes if you do it.

I like too that you give your neighbors blooming flowers. You end up helping everyone; give them the chance to admire the Orchids without having to care for them themselves and you get some more room and that heart-warming feeling that you've brightened someone's day. Not to mention all the people who wind up wanting to have their own, like you said, then you get more space too! Wouldn't be surprised if you get some takers on here.
