Suggestions for Outdoor Mounted Orchids in Florida
Hello! My father recently told me he wants to try to mount an orchid to a tree out side their Florida condo and asked me if I knew which sort of variety to try. I am a bit stumped because the complicating factor is that they do not live in the condo year round, so there would not be someone to water it all the time.
Are there any orchids that do ok with some neglect? Since it is Florida, it would be a fairly humid environment. He also tells me that the tree gets bright sun but not directly all day long. Any suggestions?
Some plants like dendrobium aggregatum can take lots of light as well as a winter rest (with no to little water) however I'm not sure whether this would work or when they are gone (and for how long). Hopefully some others might have some suggestions.
