I just had my first rebloom happen this week. I promise, you will have lots of victories along the way and a lot of questions too. Don't be afraid to ask them! This group is awesome!

UPDATE:
It now has a total of 3 new roots AND a new leaf!!!
I do have a question about root growth tho...the first growth (I believe it to be an aerial root-the middle growth) is growing at a significantly slower rate than the other two. The newest root (on the right) I only noticed last night and it's already bigger than the first. Is this normal?
Seriously, without the help and support of the wonderful members of this forum this poor plant would have been dead LONG ago. Thank you all so much!! ❤️

Yep, totally normal. Some roots will grow longer than others, because they have better conditions than the other one. It's cool how subtle nature is and how amazing it is in action.

No, you're right! That's a mealybug! Evil b*******!!!

I think a tactical nuke is in order to wipe out all mealybugs on the planet. I'm still kinda mad about finding one on my brand new masdevallia. (

Yes, I see what you mean. If that ever was alive though, it's been long dead because I've never seen it move from that spot. I only noticed it when I noticed the new leaf growing and I just assumed that it was part of the growing process although I thought it looked odd. I found one of the first pics I took of the new leaf and will attach. Do these things lay eggs? I don't need any more bugs, it's ant season here and I'm already half mad killing ants
Damn

I'd clean the plant well with rubbing alcohol (70%), isolate it. Check nearby plants well, and keep a close eye on them all.
