Default It finally bloomed after two years....

This orchid took two years to bloom after sending out a spike. The spike grew about a foot or so and then stopped all of last year. Then around December it started elongating again. It has now bloomed. It is a very delicate color. What color I don't know since I don't know the names of some colors. But it's nice. Hope you like it.

Nice one! How odd that the spike stalled for a year. When the color can not be defined, I think they call it "art shade"

It's a beautiful color regardless. Kind of salmony pink, unless my screen tint is way off lol. No clue to the official color, but beautiful regardless.

Congratulations!! I don't know what the color really is but it reminds me of the orange sherbert I use to get as a kid. I like it a lot.

...........now I want some sherbert.......030

The "art shade" flowers are always tempting me and I don't have one yet. Me thinks I have to remedy that situation.

Thank you all. It is a very pretty color and flowers. This long spike growth time happens with this orchid. Happened a couple years ago too. Gets about a foot long and then stops for the rest of the season. Then at Christmas it starts to elongate again. Weird.

Very nice! I like that art shade color. You can sure see the Schomburgkia influence in that one.

Beautiful color. LOL, I thought 6 months was slow. Orchid growing definitely requires patience.
