Default Basic care for 2 mini orchids I will be getting

I would love basic care ideas for these 2 minis I will be buying. I'm home all day and can mist them whenever needed - for the most part. Any other basic care I should know? Before I buy them and am stuck? :c)

Haraella odorata

and Schoenorchis fragrans

Thanks!!!

As long as you're home all day (lucky US! ) you should be fine for anything mounted. The project eria is not a mount, but is the second one? I didn't notice.

The Eria is potted. But the other 2 are itty bitty minis that are mounted I believe. Maybe I should just get one but it would be SO hard to decide between the 2. And I'm already paying for shipping so I should get my money's worth. And they really aren't expensive. If I saw them in person I would certainly buy both LOL!!

Tik ... ck out these two and hopefully might give a bit of insight. A stay at home orchid person. My days are limited...doc says I can return to work July 1st ....what was he thinking. Mind running on my own orchid care.

The Schorens will love my summer it appears - for the most part. It could probably use more light. And the Haraella will love my winters and except for the heat do fine in my summers it seems ..... YAY...

I do really want both...

Thanks for those links!

H. odorata seems to like humidity, wet, and shaddy conditions. Thats how I keep mine. I also keep mine well ventilated. When I got mine from Andy's Orchids I saw that the stick it was mounted on was green with algea. So thats an indication of how wet it likes to be. No sunlight for this one.

Both are great plants - good luck with them, Kirstie!

You said you could mist at any time.

DO NOT give in to the temptation to mist in the evening. Cool, moist, and dark are the ideal combination for fungal infections. Put the babies to bed dry.
