Can you take a look at my phal's roots? Female
Default Can you take a look at my phal's roots?

Hi all!
I was given this phal amabilis (or amabilis hybrid, i don't know for sure ) about 2 weeks ago.
I'm watering about once a week (actually every 4-5 days) with a balanced fertilizer diluted at 0.5gr/L.
I thing that the orchid is in a bark+little soil mix (probably an orchid mix substrate that the nursery the phal was bought from is using).

I took some pics about the roots condition and i'd like to know what is your opinion...
I was wondering about repotting my orchid once the flowering is done, because i'm scared about possible root damage or rot.

You can find the pics in my public "Phal's root" album..

I think that the roots are fine, but i don't know what to do with the surface roots (do i have to cover them with bark?) and a couple of dried aerial roots (do i have to cut the dried ones? it seems that only the far end is dried...)

A couple of stems that were sprouting from the strikes dried out a couple of days after i got the orchid (luckly they were tiny stems), instead all the buds have bloomed( or are blooming).

Do i have to repot my plant?

Thank you for the attention
