Thanks
Thanks for the vanda I.D.
As a noob, I thought it was time for me to start helping my orchid. It hangs in a tree all year, here in Ft. Myers, Fl. When we first got our orchid it had a net bag of fertilizer hanging over the top of the plant. It hasn't been fertilized for over a year and it still blooms. Poor thing certainly hasn't had much care. My concern is that the blooms are getting farther away from the roots. The roots are tightly entwined around the wood planter and I don't know if I can somehow cut back from the bottom to encourage more growth higher up the plant. Will cutting the wood planter apart and pulling the roots away and trimming some off the bottom of my vanda be a good move?
Thanks for all the replys,
Tom
