how do i save my moth Phalaenopsis

Hi All,

As seen in attached images, it looks like my phals are dieing, don't know why. Please help to rescue my phals.

Leaves are dropy and no roots, what should i do to stiumlate root growth and make this phal healthy again.

I think these have been getting too much water. I gave my daughter a phal and she rarely remembers to water it and it is thriving. Phals grow on trees, roots exposed to the humid air. The medium in which you plant them is only meant to help keep the air around the roots humid, not to keep them wet. When the medium stays damp, the roots rot.
You might try wrapping a little bit of slightly damp, fresh New Zealand sphagnum moss around the rootless step and sealing it in a clear, plastic bag, low light (it needs some light, of course). Good luck!

When I look at the pictures it looks like there are new roots about to pop out.

The only water I would put on this would be distilled water out of a spray bottle and only on the bottom of the leaves as often as twice to three times a day. Let it hang by it's leaves in a small bottle. There are no roots to take up the water you are putting on them and the rot continues. Leave it alone unless you want to spray the undersides of the leaves.

James' method is the one I've used for rootless phals with success. However it's a long way gone, success can't be guaranteed with this.

Yes, success is not guaranteed with this individual.

The spraying on the undersides of the leaves is for the purpose of hopefully ensuring that the plant is able to get a little bit of hydration. There are pores on the underside of the leaves. It serves a similar purpose to increasing the humidity.

I would also keep the temperature around 90 F during the day, and drop it to about 70 F at night and see if that will help some.
