Crown rot, bugs, or something else? Female
Default Crown rot, bugs, or something else?

Hey all,
Please check out the below photos and let me know what you think.

I bought my sister 3 orchids when visiting her in south FL. 1 of them is having issues.
I have gotten water in the tops of my leaves before and I try to blow it out, but I've never gotten crown rot. She has only had this thing a month and has tried to be careful with it and not over water and such per my directions.

Let me know what you think this is...

It looks like sunburn to me. If it was crown rot the rot would have progressed further. Rot usually looks soft & squishy not dry like that.

Sunburn, but there could be tissue damage down to the crown.

Treat as if it is a crown-rotted plant, continuing to keep water out of the center. It may or may not make a leaf from the center again, but could easily make a basal keiki.

Anything else besides being cautious of the center? I told her to move it a foot or two away from the window. Should she go farther?
Water as usual but with caution?
