Default Epidendrum Radicans (Fire Star Orchid)

I recently purchased an epidendrum radicans from the store and it wasn't in the best of shapes. Most of the flower buds had fallen off, but from the two beautiful flowers that remained I knew I had to have it. One of the cane was completely dead and black, and there are some bad roots here and there. But the rest of the plant looks pretty good. Several strong healthy canes, full sturdy leaves, and a pretty good root system. I was wondering what I should do next to help it recover and thrive and eventually bloom again. Should I start fertilizing with the 13-3-15 fertilizer I have weakly, weekly? Should I repot it and cut off the dead cane and trim some of the dead roots off?

If the one cane is truly dead, you can cut it off. If it's just leafless, but alive, leave it. Canes may be a dark purple / raisin color.

Cut off any dead roots.

It sounds to be in pretty good shape, so it shouldn't require any special treatment
