Orchids changing colour cause of heat And dryness

Seriously. These are the same orchids about a week apart. I went on a business trip for a week and came home these has changed colour! Btw can anyone identify them?

I think light exposure can also cause flowers to change color slightly.

When flowers are nearing the end of their bloom, they sometimes change colour. It looks to have some brassavola in it. Perhaps it is a blc or some such hybrid

Looks like some Cattleya intergeneric hybrid. Some of these hybrids change colour in the course of flowering, but more due to their genes than due to heat and dryness.

Some flowers change colour in order to attract insects at the right time for pollination. I have had water lilies that do that.

Looks to me like they are at the end of their blooming ... How long have these been in bloom? Very hot dry weather can cause blooms to wither prematurely, or it could be they were going to be finished now, regardless.

Hi all the white ones are actually how they look like now. Need to post a few other pic for u to notice the difference. They have been blooming maybe for 2 weeks now


So the pink was when it just started to bloom. They last quite long these Lc hybrids.

Ah I see!

Some do change color after a time. My (L)C Tropical Pointer also starts out pink, but after a couple of weeks becomes soft yellow.
