Yes, I think we can safely say that there are more great places than poor..or maybe the poor went out of business.
I've done business with many of the merchants listed earlier in the thread over the years and haven't yet done with business with any that I want to warn people about (I'm careful).

I have purchased from just about all mentioned in this thread, excepting only a couple of the Ebay vendors, and then Orchids.com

My only firsthand experience with Norman's, was at the WOC in Miami in 2008. He was there as a vendor, and offered only some rather uninteresting Cattleya hybrids. That selection was a total bomb compared with the other 80 or so vendors.

Secondhand, I have heard an assortment of comments from other growers and AOS judges, so I have no intention of trying my luck there.

Lastly, my interpretation of 'husky' means that it is a very health plant for it's size. It has no meaning in terms of plant size or number of years to blooming size.
