I'm from Charleston. Honestly there aren't any great orchid places. I'd say to go to Hyams on James island if you want to window shop. There is an orchid grower on John's island as well. He goes to the johns island farmers market every Saturday, but getting an appointment to see his greenhouse Is a little difficult. And those are your choices lol. Enjoy your stay in Charleston.

Edit: the name of the orchid grower on John's island is John's island orchids. His name is Tom. Very knowledgeable grower!

Go to Fleet Landing for Sunday brunch and have the shrimp and grits.

Then you definitely want to bop up to Moncks Corner and visit HP & Katherine Norton at Orchidview. Call or email and make an appointment.
