They aren't exactly difficult to rebloom they just can be a bit slow to rebloom until they get big.

Nice plants by the way! Slippers are my favorites!

What makes them difficult to rebloom??
They just don't bloom?

I hope mine will bloom regularly.
I am also most interested in the "why" of a hard to configure bloomer on the Koopowitz. Do tell, Quilter, or anyone??

And NYCguy... when you throw'way your other Mystic Isle, just throw 'em my way.

Big for that plant would be 4-5 growths, then it'd probably bloom every year under good conditions.

And lots of times magazines, people, ect. call them "cattleyas and their relatives."

Okay, Orchidboy... relatives, 'tis!

Maybe... Come to think of it, I like orchids a lot more than most of my relatives.

Malipoense is known to be a somewhat reluctant bloomer. Delenatii may temper this trait somewhat. As The Orchid Boy stated they will bloom when they get big, however, that will take a while as they are slow growers.

I thought malipoense was an easy bloomer, but heard lots of negative things about armenicacum and micranthum. No?

Well, my Lynleigh Koopowitz is a single growth plant with no signs of any new fans, so I guess I might have to wait forever until I get to see the second bloom. oh, well...

I was really tempted to pick up two Lynleigh Koopowitz of good size at a great price at a show last month, but they did not look so great with brown rust on the leaves. maybe that's why they were cheap.

Within the same grex, there is also quite a bit of difference in plant vigor as well from what I understand. So just like the look of flowers, growth habit and flowering habit are also mostly luck.

Now I will have to wait and see.

Not the best picture quality, but good looking healthy plants. That's better than the reverse.
