That may be adequate light for a Phal. You might pick up a mechanical light meter and see what you get under that porch area during different times of the day. They don't like direct sunlight, but bright light is good.
What direction does it face? My Phals flowered nicely in a similar situation, kept under an overhang that faced SE. Plants kept at lower levels would get some direct sun, but keeping them higher left them in the shade of the overhang all day.
I have phals in North windows and they bloom fine, except that the flower count isn't very high. I would think that where you have them likely has better light that mine get. The direction your overhang is facing would help.
Also keep in mind that the further South you are the more light you get on all sides of your house. When I lived in Arizona, there was quite a bit of bright light in the more Northern facing windows than here in Oregon
Great tips! I feel more confident now that they're getting enough light! and the porch does face the South so it gets good light and heat. I have a compass app on the phone Thanks again. Oh and they do get a few rays of direct at sunrise. It sneaks in under the awning on the left side, and then a few rays at sunset from the right . So they should be good! Thank You so much! Love you guys!
