PS What is this light in the sky ya'll speak of? Vaguely remember it from a far, far away time. White. All.I.See.Is.White.

It certainly is a winter of contrasts and extremes! Too much cold and precipitation back east and too warm and too little precipitation in the west.
Every 70° day we've had makes me know we are borrowing against a good springtime. It's nice but I'd be more than willing to wait under cloudy, cold skies for its proper time.
But we even had a modest snowfall this winter, despite the drought. A great photo session!
Snow in California - Imgur A freak storm dumped snow on the valley and left our greatest snow-catchers; Mt. Shasta and Lassen Peak, bare of their ermine mantles.
Rabbit manure is a good deal! I use cow manure from my own barns and pine shavings mixed with sheep and horse manure from the neighbor for mulch. Poop is the best!
We can garden all winter if the starts are in the ground by mid August.
Here's hoping to a return to the normal. At least the normal we know!
