I recently bought one of these "Zim" orchids. They are growing on one of these Zimbabwean grass Xerophyta retinervis/ bobbejaanstert plants.
Now I have read on here that the orchids do not normally grow on these bobbejaanstert plants and will eventually die? The people who sell them apparently only transplant them on these bobbejaanstert plants for transit into SA.
I have heard of people repotting the orchids, but I would like to find out how you do it without killing them?
I'm adding a pic of the plant (found online, not my plant, but def the same)
I see the bobbejaanstert is also a very pretty flower, so would like to keep it alive too.
Its such a pitty that I cant keep the orchids on this stump, because its so pretty together
