Bigger flowers??

I'm so excited! My three phae bloomed!!! I'm finally doing things right! My only question now is:
When i first bought my plants the flowers were a lot bigger than the flowers I am getting now, they were almost double the size! How do I get them to get bigger???

I am a newb too, but after hanging out in these forums for a long time, I think that it is because the greenhouses where these various orchids grow have optimum conditions for big plants. They have the correct light, big fans, optimum humidity, perfect scientifically measured feed, non-tap water, and people caring for them all the time. We regular people who have a few orchids have stuffy rooms, low light, and things like drafts, and forgetting to feed or water orchids. It would be loving from a nice warm damp environment like Taiwan, and going to a room in Minnesota. The plants are accustomed to optimum care and the flowers show it.

Getting all the particulars about light, temperature, air movement, feeding, medium, & watering correct (if you do), and I am sure you will get bigger flowers.

Do you fertilize? If so, what do you use, how much, how often?

I would also suggest light as a factor.

optimus is absolutely correct. the closer you get to the optimum cultural conditions, the bigger the flowers and the more numerous.

James is right on this one. Large commercial orchid nurseries force the plants with optimal conditions on all fronts. Unless you can duplicate these, you may never duplicate the quality of bloom which was on the young plant when you first bought it. However, if you grow the plant well to increase it size, you will get increased flower count and possibly large flowers.
