Default Kiki on Angraecum sesquipidale

In Nov '12' I purchased the A. sesquipidale 'Phantom Flourish xFlambouyant'. It was a large plant and I placed it outside on picnic table under the umbrella. The top half broke off and before summer's end a new kiki developed off to the side. The kiki continues to grow and I want to pot it. I have not noticed any new root development on the plant. How and what should I use to repot? I also have another kiki in a very small pot that is growing well and I want to repot it. Any special growing instructions would be helpful. Again I live in Oh and only have a sunrm. with a few lights.

The keiki is the way Angraecums reproduce and is totally normal. If you want to repot the one with the broken stem just repot it so the newer growth is straight and the broken growth goes sideways. I wouldn't remove the broken growth because you could get another new growth out of it.

All of my Angraecums end up with multiple growths on them and when they bloom they are gorgeous.

The plant was beautiful when I purchased it and did bloom and as you said it was beautiful. Now I hope I can save it with your instructions. I will be hopeful for more new keikis. How long before I can expect a bloom from my keiki now. I have a few bark chips and a lot of open air space in the existing pot and most of the roots are above the chips. Should I keep it the same?
