Default keiki from spikes

I read it in another forum that keiki can be grown from phal spike cuttings by putting it in water. Is it true?

I've heard this mentioned before ... Don't know if there's a high success rate ...

I have a couple of plants with a keiki growing from a flower spike. Until the keiki itself grows roots, the baby receives its nourishment from the mother plant. In the past I have tried to stimulate the keiki into growing roots by wrapping sphagnum moss around its base, the keiki died. Now I just wait and see what the plant will do.
