New Dendrobium - Now what?
Default New Dendrobium - Now what?

I got a Den Sakura Pink as a gift. It currently has flowers and one spike.

I know small pot, light very much like a cattleya. But I picked up a book and looked on the internet and there are a lot of different requirments for different Den and I can't figure out which type I have.

Does anybody know how to take care of this one? Will it loose it leaves? Does it need to dry out in the fall and no feeding? Does it need that cool snap?

Sure would like to keep this one going!

Just doing a google it looks like Den Sakura Pink is a Dendrobium phalaenopsis style hybrid. (Now called Vappodes phalaenopsis)

It's a hardcane Den that likes a little bit of humidity, high light and a winter rest, but not as serious a rest as the softcane Dens. There's a cheat sheet here

I just got a Den.Burana Pink #1. I do not want to kill it. How do I take care of it. It is lovely, has two tall stems with blooms, although I gave it a drink, and now one of the stems blossoms are falling off. HELP.. you can write me directly at sjm724@verizon.net
