Mirrored bloom: common or cool?
Default Mirrored bloom: common or cool?

Hi- new here and I know very little about orchids but I just noticed that one of six flowers on one of my plants is almost a "double" flower ~ but it's actually more like a mirror. For some reason I can only attach one photo at a time, but I'm wondering how common it is, if it's a male flower, etc. it has almost double everything except that, as you can see, the center petal has a center line. Any information is welcome To view "normal" flowers, see my "avatar" photo.

Two flowers have apparently fused in the early stages of development, possibly due to a change in temperature or other environmental circumstances at that time. It is a temporary mutation and I suspect the flowers will all bloom normally next time. It does look really cool however!
