Hi! I've been storing my orchid bark out in the porch where it gets below 32 F (0 C). Is this going to cause me any problems in the future? Will the bark decompose faster when I finally use it?

I don't the the temperature will affect it as long as it stays dry. If it get's even slightly damp that will speed it decomposing, it needs to be kept bone dry. I keep mine under the spare bed even though the greenhouse or garage would be more convenient, just to ensure it stays really dry.

If anything, it will last longer. Organisms that break things down slow in colder temps- think of a refrigerator?
