Dyna-Gro K-L-N Rooting Concentrate
Hello Group,
I just got my Dyna Gro KLN in the mail. I also have Dyna Gro Food and Dyna Gro Bloom.
I made a mix of KLN and Food (TBLSP/GAL) and put it in a mister. Some of my Phals are rootless. Is it acceptable to mist the bases of the phals with this mixture to promote root growth.
Hoping to one day produce some spikes.
Thank you.

I mist rootless plants regularly and it does seem to work for me. I use plain water most of the time and a root stimulator like KLN or seaweed maybe once a week. I suggest mixing your KLN with the "Bloom" fertilizer. It's higher in phosphorous, which is important for root formation. When you see roots starting, then you can switch to the "Grow" formula fertilizer. Good luck.

Personally, I'd put a teaspoon of K-L-N in a gallon of slightly-warm water and immerse the entire plant in it for about 30 minutes, then pot it up and cover it with a "tent" (clear plastic bag) to prevent it from desiccating.
Repeating the rooting hormone more than every 2-3 weeks adds nothing.

Ray -
How long do you recommend to leave the tent on? just to be clear, immerse the entire plant - leaf, crown and all?

Yes, submerge the entire plant.
Leave the plant in the humidity tent until it is growing roots.

Thanks Ray - one more question, should the plastic bag be sealed against the pot (with a rubber band or similar) or loose to allow some, albeit restricted, air flow?
