Default Another water question...

I have a GE Smartwater filter on my refrigerator for drinking water. Will this help my hand over the tap water I have been using to water my 'chids? If so, what catagory does MSU fertilizer fall into as being tap/well water or RO or rainwater? We are in severe drought here is S.W. coastal Florida so no rain water. Also do the Brita filters do anygood. Thanks in advance

Don't know about that particular one, but the Brita style filters do not produce RO water. They filter solids, and in some cases, bacteria, etc. So you would use the well water/city water formula - you already have enough dissolved solids.

Thank you Ross. I guess I'm looking for an easy way out.

Just for giggles, why not call Culligen and see how much it would cost to rent an RO drinking water system. That's what I did. Here, in Michigan, I pay $19.50 per month which covers filters and annual tests/inspection/tuneup as well as the full install. Not bad. I can produce 2 gallons first thing in morning from the storage tank, then fill gallon jugs approx 1 per 2 hours. I think the installer said it would produce approx 30 gallons over 24 hour period. No charge for an estimate - actually a phone call should get you an answer.
