Default Question

I'm a real sucker when it comes to plants in distress. Saw one at work and just couldn't leave until I brought it home. I knew it had been 'frost bitten' but not the extent. Well, as time moved forward, it was apparent all the leaves were dying but it has tons of thick, green roots. My question is:

With all the leaves gone but with apparently healthy root system, is this Phal going to beat the odds and live?

If you keep it very warm, and there is enough mass of living tissue at the base, it is possible that a new growth front may begin growing.

Good luck.

65*f to 80*f. Hopefully the core or crown wasn't frozen. It may throw out a keiki from there or the roots.

Default Keike?

I've seen that word before but have no clue what it is/means.

I sprout seeds in my oven because it has consistant light and temp; 85. Would that do it?

A keiki is basically a baby orchid. If it puts out a keiki for you, that would be ideal in your situation.
