i just bought a vanda blue star and im wondering if i can keep it outside in the winter (probly not but i want another opinion) im from portugal but im about a usda hardiness 10b
and i also have a question about lighting is it the same lighting as phals?
Vanda needs bright shaded light, warmth, high humidity and good air circulation....your blue hybrid must have a coerulea in its parentage so it can withstand low temperatures. Just don't expose it to frost. If the atmosphere becomes dry put it indoors and make sure to hang it by the bright window but spray it with water in the mornings. Gradually expose it to the bright shaded sun or else the leaves can burn.
