Hi all and best wishes for a happy 2014!
I searched and saw that this question has been asked and answered many times but I guess I'm hoping there might be a last chance to save my flowers from losing all their buds.
I was having some worries about 2 of my phals (
here's why). There were spikes still growing and the first buds had developed and yet I decided to repot because I feared that the roots might begin to rot if I didn't change the environment.
(I'd repotted before when the flowers of one plant were fully open and it went well.)
The roots were in good health though, no rotting at all and I thought I'd done my best - drilled more holes, put pebbles at the bottom, changed coco husk with pine bark and fertilizer from NPK 3:5:7 to 11:4.5:7.8.
However, 2 weeks ago the first bud was about to open, really ripe and it suddenly turned yellow and died, than another, and another...
I now realize that it was all too much of environmental change and read phals are way more sensitive when in bud but I wish the blast would stop and see some flowers before next year, there are still a few buds left to develop.
Can you help me help them?
