Vanilla orchid needed

HI everyone.
I am producing a photo shoot in Denver, CO on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, and am looking for a vanilla orchid in bloom to use for the shoot. Does anyone have an idea of where I could purchase one?

I'm only a newbie, but I've read that vanilla orchids are the hardest to propagate because they only bloom for one day. I think, because of this, you're going to have a very difficult time finding any blooming when you need it.

That is correct, the flowers are only open for a day. You could try looking around for local nurseries that might have one, but they don't usually bloom until they're at least 10ft long. If you want pics of one, you generally have to have the plant already picked out and check on it until a bud forms, at which point you check on it daily in the morning until it blooms.

You should have located one, then plan your photo soot around its blooming time.

You could ask Don check the Social group look in the Vanilla group he has some 24 varieties.

Vanilla flowers are only open for short period of time, it would be hard to get one in perfect time to shoot your video.
