The brown thing with a green tip is the remnant of a flower spike that has been cut off. Just leave it and the whole thing will dry up eventually. They are hard to get completely off the plant so most people just leave'em.

Any way you can post a picture of the side of the clear plastic pot so that the roots are visible? That'll tell the story of this plant real quick-like.

Although there are a couple of dead roots, the others look fat and healthy. It should do fine.

I wouldn't bother because you would have to take the plant out of it's pot. Remove them when you pot again.

I just realized what you were referring to on the right. An old flower spike. Had you cut it so that it was much longer - i.e. far above several buds, it might have rebloomed or threw a keiki.

At this point - just let it be.

Quit fretting :-) We all do that far too much.
This plant does look quite healthy.
