I'll apologize now for my attitude, but their home page turned me immediately off:
"Don't fertilize plants with poisonous chemicals"
They are either ignorant or hoping the potential customer is. Everything is chemical, and no matter what their source, the mineral ions absorbed by the plants are mostly identical.
Their "philosophy" statement that "Before the introduction of chemical fertilizers, entire generations successfully relied on the earth’s resources to grow and maintain a healthy food supply. Food was uncomplicated, nutritionally superior, and grown in abundance." is pure BS, and ignores the fact that the "earth's resources" are chemically identical to those made in a factory, only less pure and less concentrated.
Granted, overdoing highly-concentrated fertilizers (of any kind) is detrimental, and this is especially true of orchids.
Here's an observation: Orchid growers are probably the most frequent believers in "magical concoctions" for improving their growth, when in fact, by paying more attention to ALL of the other cultural parameters, and routinely applying pretty much any complete fertilizer in moderate amounts as part of that, will give the best results.
