How to revive a bleached oncidium bulb??
Default How to revive a bleached oncidium bulb??

Hi,

My Mtdm Pupukea Sunset x Cleos Pride got sunburnt because I left it under noon sun accidentally 3 weeks ago. I have kept it moist and shade ever since, but the bulb is now bleached and flattened.

How can I revive my poor plant to its green and plum state??

PS: it is summer over in Sydney now.

Sorry to say, but I think you lost that one. You can wait and see but I don't hold out much hope.

The plant may survive if the rhizome can send out new growths, but those bleached out parts look pretty bad. Maybe you could keep it a bit dryer since it wont be needing moisture for the fried parts anymore. With healthy roots and rhizome, in time i hope it can be saved.
