Default Miltonia losing flowers from the top down!!

I have a Miltonia (at least that's what the florist said!) and it does look like pansy flowers. My problem - the flowers are dying from the top of the stalk down - and one even stayed okay an the nest one down died. I have no idea of what could be wrong?
