Jumped out at me

Literally! I was at Lowe's, looking at some of their clearance orchids. Most of the ones I found didn't look healthy enough for me to want to bother with.

Now, the orchids, probably because of the tall flower spikes, were up on the top shelf of the clearance rack, which is of course taller than me. So I reach up to grab another one and inspect the roots, and hear a CRASH on the other side of me, and there's a different orchid lying on the floor amidst pieces of broken cache pot.

And this one that fell is quite a handsome one. Best roots of any of the ones I looked at, and the leaves look pretty good too (aside from one being torn from the fall).

She's a beauty! Any clue of the color? Look at those roots. Nice one.

The flowers that were still there broke off when the plant fell. But they were purple.

ohhhhhhhhhhh purple I love the look of purple ones and that will be the first color I will be going for...
