Paph. Sanderianum Blooming Size?

I've looked all over Google for this but I seem to be missing it, or it isn't there...

I ordered a Paph. sanderianum 'Dark Beauty' x Sanderianum 'Newberry Tresses' from eBay that has a 15" leaf span. I'm assuming this means each leaf is roughly 7-8".

I'm dying to know when there is a chance of it blooming. I have a couple questions...

1. Is there a general blooming size accepted for paph sanderianum?
2. How many years might it have taken to get this paph to 15" leaf span? (On average, I know it varies due to conditions)
3. To anyone who has one, what size did yours bloom at first? If it hasn't bloomed yet, what size is it?

Yours have a single growth, right? I believe you usually need multiple growths for this species. So 2-5 more years?

They CAN bloom smaller, but they usually don't in culture.

I agree it could take years.

I have a smaller one and I've basically decided it will never bloom, so if and when it does I will be pleasantly surprised.

Mine bloomed first when it was about 20" to 22" across and the leaves were about 1.75" to 2" wide. It had one growth with no new growths starting. It was in a 4 inch pot. I'd say yours will take 2 (possibly 3) years until it blooms.

I went today do to my watering and inspection and poof!!!! I've got a spike!

It was just a few days ago I posted about how I thought it never would and yet here we are!

Will be interesting to see what happens next. It's such a small plant I'm sort of concerned about my abilities on this one. But I guess one day at a time.

That is small for setting a spike. Does it have a start? It will be interesting to see what the blooms look like on this. You may have a mini sandie!

When I bought it, Golden Gate Orchids told me it could bloom small. And there is a nub from a previous growth. I just really, really didn't expect it. It's too soon to see what will happen next, but it's clearly developing flowers in there. It's not just a sheath, it's swollen into a bulb shape.
