This is probably the best idea. As I said quarantine it from your other orchids and get some Phytosan and always drench it with a fairly strong dose of it for a while and see what happens. Fertilize and add whatever hormones etc. you like too, such as kelp extract.
Make sure you do not use the same tools on this plant and your other plants without sterilizing them with a flame or at least phytosan. Ideally, don't share the items at all unless you have a pressure cooker or even better a professional autoclave to process them between uses.
