Yes, that particular pot looks like just the thing I need for this climate, although I am equally curious to see how my poor sick phal does in the vase. I am surprised that there aren't more pots out there like that. That's it settled then, I'm in for a few of them.

When you do repot it put it in the absolute smallest pot you can get away with. The larger the pot, the slower the media dries in the center.
