I'm in agreement with the majority here and think you should buy yourself an orchid or two. The dark dendrobium is stunning and caught my eye immediately. Keep us posted if you buy one or two or ten.

I agree, I would go get that dark dendrobium, that flower just speaks to me, I would also get that green and white paph. It's cheerfully colored and paphs seem to be relatively easy growers, they also have interesting foliage, so when they are not in bloom, they're still cool.
I would have left with four plants, for sure. Love that mashie!
Kindra: Honey addict paph? I'm curious! Got a pic?

@bud—the only thing that saves me is lack of confidence and fear that I will kill them. Nothing worse than watching a plant fade and die!
@fern daddy—yeah, i agree. and 4 is an unlucky number so i need 5, really...
@the dendro lovers—it's a very dark purple...but if I go for a dark one it'll be that catasetum witchcraft that is literally black.
@kindra you sweet thing! Maybe it's a good thing I'm *not* stateside...but one day, one day!

But truly, please tell us what you come back with (if you return with your 4th orchid!) I think it has a lot to do with your personal tastes! I am definitely more of a dendrobium girl, but you might be part of those popular paph kids.

my window sills will be full this spring !
my next orchid to bloom will be the lady slipper in the first photo , i think it may be the same color scheme , and there is 2 of them .
Have a good day ...i am stepping out to shovel 30cm of snow that fell overnight .

I've been collecting less than 3 years I think, and I think I may be close to triple figures... I don't dare count right now! LOL
Why has no-one supported the twinkles? Buds means you are not getting nearly-over flowers, and I hear they smell really nice... Think it would be OK for your conditions too.

I agree you should get another if it has been that long. It's always nice to have several so you always have something in flower!
Am I the only one that the Miltonia orchid (pic 5) is my favorite? There is no way I would have left without it. Love that one and also agree the dark purple den is amazing!
Is this a local garden center, I don't know any places by me that have that much of a variety! Wow!~

Twinkles are nice orchids! I am impressed that you can just buy one.
