Akernes Raiin Mix question Male
Default Akernes Raiin Mix question

Hello.

i am deciding which fertilizer should i use and i found this one. it seems great. I have read some posts on this forum and you seem to be satisfied with it. Now i know some of you have been using it for quite a bit of time so i want your feedback is it ok, do you actually see more growth etc. ?

I also want to know if it is ok to use this mix with regular/tap watter? I have some rain water but most of the time i use water from the pipe.

I also have another question for al the EU people out here
Where can i find some coarse grade perlite to order online? I dont know, i just cant find any supplier. I ordered one which should be meduim coarse and it seems like dust to me.
What kind of granulation is coarse grade anyway? 8mm-1cm or more?
I know for medium grade perlit is about 2-6 mm and i want it coarser

thanks for all the replies in advance
Wish you all a good day

gregor

Slovenia is one of the most water-rich countries in Europe. It has 27,000 km of rivers, streams and other watercourses. It also has numerous thermal springs and mineral springs, and a large number of aquifers.
Many people are used to drinking tap water in Slovenia, as it is clean and uncontaminated. Bars and restaurants often serve tap water, for instance alongside coffee. In recent years many establishments have ceased to do so, offering bottled water instead, but this is no reflection of the quality of the water.
You can use tap water to water your plants and mix with your fertilizer.
Look for lava rock instead of perlite=it is also water retentive.

Slovenia tap water may be great to drink, but that does not mean it's great for orchids.

The best tasting water tends to have fairly high mineral content, and that is not best of orchids.
